Hex Washer Head Screws
Self-piercing screws are a form of self-tapping screw featuring an extremely sharp point. This enables them to easily penetrate materials such as wood and thin-gauge sheet metal. Self-piercing screws also have a twin lead thread design where one thread is rolled into the tip of the sharp point with a second thread resting just above it. When the screw is inserted into the material and turned, the two threads work in tandem to drive it through with speed and efficiency.
Hex washer head screws are a type of self-piercing screw equipped with a built-in washer at the screw head. This allows for the distribution of weight and load over a wider area. Depending on the thread drive pitch and hex washer head screw dimension, they can be used for metal-to-metal fastening, metal and light steel framing, sheet metal and medium steel fastening, heavier gauge metal fastening applications, and solar panel installation.
